Ernst-Jan van de Pas has been a lawyer since 2004 and studied Dutch law at the University of Tilburg (2003). He focuses on IT law, Internet law and Intellectual Property. In his daily practice, Ernst-Jan is involved in the assessment and preparation of all kinds of IT contracts, such as contracts relating to the purchase, installation and implementation of hardware and software packages such as ZIS/EPD/ECD packages, ERP packages, cooperation agreements, licensing contracts, ASP, SaaS and Cloud contracts and escrow agreements, R&D agreements. In addition, Ernst-Jan has extensive experience in advising and litigating IT disputes. His clients consist of hospitals and other healthcare institutions, municipalities, provinces and water boards, but also large and smaller companies ranging from multinationals to start-ups. Ernst-Jan has completed the postdoctoral training VIRA/Grotius Informaticarecht (2008) and is a member of the specialist association Vereniging voor Informaticarecht Lawyeren (VIRA, the Netherlands Association for Information Technology and Law (NVvIR, the Association of Copyright and the Association for Privacy Law). Ernst-Jan is a member of Dirkzwager's application committee for student trainees.
Ernst-Jan van de Pas is sinds 2004 advocaat en studeerde Nederlands recht aan de Universiteit van Tilburg (2003). Hij richt zich op IT-recht, Internetrecht en Intellectuele Eigendom. In zijn dagelijkse praktijk houdt Ernst-Jan zich bezig met het beoordelen en opstellen van allerhande IT-contracten, zoals overeenkomsten met betrekking tot de aanschaf, installatie en implementatie van hardware en softwarepakketten zoals ZIS/EPD/ECD pakketten, ERP pakketten, samenwerkingsovereenkomsten, licentiecontracten, ASP, SaaS en Cloud contracten en escrowovereenkomsten, R&D overeenkomsten. Daarnaast heeft Ernst-Jan ruime ervaring met het adviseren in en procederen over IT-geschillen. Zijn cliënten bestaan uit ziekenhuizen en andere zorginstellingen, gemeenten, provincies en waterschappen, maar ook grote en kleinere ondernemingen variërend van multinationals tot startups. Ernst-Jan heeft de postdoctorale opleiding VIRA/Grotius Informaticarecht afgerond (2008) en is lid van de specialistenvereniging Vereniging voor Informaticarecht Advocaten (VIRA, de Nederlandse Vereniging voor Informatietechnologie en Recht (NVvIR, de Vereniging van Auteursrecht en de Vereniging voor Privacyrecht. Ernst-Jan zit in de kernredactie van Samenspraak en is lid van de sollicitatiecommissie van Dirkzwager voor studentstagiaires.
