- Mr. President... Ir. Albert de Groot (1952) has been a lawyer since 1994 and is now affiliated with Van Diepen Van der Kroef lawyers in Amsterdam. He has also been a structural engineer and has worked as such for almost 15 years: initially as an advisory engineer (construction physics, acoustics and climate installations) and then as an architect/director at a medium-sized architect's office in Rotterdam, specialising in utility building. - Mr. President... De Groot is a member of several professional organizations (e.g. the Royal Institute of Engineers and the Federation of Dutch Architects, of which he is also acting dean in the Kring Amsterdam) and building-law specialization associations (among others. Association for Construction Law and Construction Law-Advocates and Association for Procurement Law) and regularly publishes in specialist journals. - Mr. President... De Groot is associated as an arbitrator with several arbitration institutes in the building world and also regularly acts as mediator / binding advisor. He is also a lecturer/inductor at various study days and post-academic courses, including the specialization training of the Association for Construction Law-Advocaten.
Mr. Ir. Albert de Groot (1952) is sinds 1994 advocaat en thans verbonden aan Van Diepen Van der Kroef advocaten te Amsterdam. Hij is tevens bouwkundig ingenieur en bijna 15 jaar als zodanig werkzaam geweest: aanvankelijk als raadgevend ingenieur (bouwfysica, akoestiek en klimaatinstallaties) en daarna als architect/directeur bij een middelgroot architectenbureau te Rotterdam, gespecialiseerd in utiliteitsbouw. Mr. De Groot is lid van meerdere beroepsorganisaties (o.a. het Koninklijk Instituut van Ingenieurs en de Bond van Nederlandse Architecten, waarvan hij tevens waarnemend deken in de Kring Amsterdam is) en bouwrechtelijke specialisatieverenigingen (o.a. Vereniging voor Bouwrecht en Bouwrecht-Advocaten en Vereniging voor Aanbestedingsrecht) en publiceert regelmatig in vaktijdschriften. Mr. De Groot is als arbiter verbonden aan meerdere arbitrage-instituten in de bouwwereld en treedt daarnaast met regelmaat op als mediator / bindend adviseur. Ook is hij docent / inleider bij verschillende studiedagen en post-academische opleidingen, waaronder de specialisatieopleiding van de Vereniging voor Bouwrecht-Advocaten.
