Marc van Opstal has studied law at the University of Leiden and has been a lawyer since 1982. At the end of the nineties he started specializing in family law. Within this jurisdiction, Marc is primarily concerned with the divorce and maintenance of entrepreneurs, including company aspects.
He also acts as a divorce mediator and as a lawyer in consultation divorces (collaborative divorce). He also has a lot of expertise in the field of inheritance law and social disputes.
Marc is responsible for the practice group on personal & family law as a partner at BANNING. Besides the legal profession he has as passions motorcycling and playing guitar in a seventies rock band. Marc van Opstal heeft rechten gestudeerd aan de Rijksuniversiteit Leiden en is advocaat sinds 1982. Aan het eind van de jaren negentig is hij zich gaan specialiseren in het familierecht. Binnen dit rechtsgebied houdt Marc zich vooral bezig met echtscheiding en alimentatie van ondernemers, waarbij ook vennootschappelijke aspecten een rol kunnen spelen.
Hij treedt daarbij ook op als scheidingsmediator en als advocaat in overlegscheidingen (collaborative divorce). Verder heeft hij veel expertise op het gebied van erfrecht en maatschapgeschillen.
Marc is als partner bij BANNING verantwoordelijk voor de praktijkgroep personen- & familierecht. Naast de advocatuur heeft hij als passies motorrijden en gitaar spelen in een zeventiger jaren rockband. Activiteiten lid van de Vereniging van Familierecht Advocaten en Scheidingsmediators (vFAS) voorzitter van de Klachtencommissie Maatschappelijke Dienstverlening 's-Hertogenbosch en Oss auteur van het hoofdstuk ‘Afwikkeling van huwelijkse voorwaarden’ in de jaarlijkse ‘Kroniek van het (echt)scheidingsrecht’ in de serie ‘Monografieën van het (echt)scheidingsrecht’ lid van de Vereniging Collaborative Divorce Holland en van de International Academy of Collaborative Professionals NMI registermediator (Nederlands Mediation Instituut)
