Maurice Essers (1967), a lawyer, specialises in EU law, competition law (concentration control, cartel law and state aid). In the field of procurement law, he is committed both to contracting authorities and to tendering companies. His years of experience in this field as a lawyer has been incorporated in the handbooks "Procurement Law for Public Authorities" and "Procurement Law for Public Sectors" and in model collections.His second focus is competition law. He focuses in particular on merger notifications, cartel cases (NMa and EU) and litigation in competition cases.He is also very active as a speaker at conferences, as a writer of books and articles and as a member of various specialization associations (see below). Maurice Essers (1967), advocaat, is gespecialiseerd in EU-recht, mededingingsrecht (concentratiecontrole, kartelrecht en staatssteun). aanbestedingsrecht en in het recht van bijzondere sectoren (openbaar vervoer, zorg, drinkwater en energie).Op het gebied van het aanbestedingsrecht zet hij zich zowel in voor aanbestedende diensten als voor inschrijvende ondernemingen. Zijn jarenlange ervaring op dit gebied als advocaat is verwerkt in de handboeken "Aanbestedingsrecht voor Overheden" en "Aanbestedingsrecht voor Nutssectoren" en in modellenverzamelingen.Zijn tweede aandachtsgebied is het mededingingsrecht. Hij richt zich met name op concentratiemeldingen, kartelzaken (NMa en EU) en op procederen in mededingingszaken.Daarnaast is hij zeer actief als spreker op congressen, als schrijver van boeken en artikelen en als lid van diverse specialisatieverenigingen (zie hieronder).
