There is a lot of work to be done in the phase after liability has been established. For me, the phase before that is by far the most interesting. In medical liability cases, it is satisfactory to get the facts clear and to find evidence. Close collaboration with doctors is crucial, engaging and educational. The fact that I'm anarchist and a recalcitrant sometimes comes in handy. I have deliberately chosen to assist only victims, but at the same time I would like to kick the shins of the established order. To investigate whether there are alternative routes to find a solution.
Er is veel werk te verzetten in de fase nadat aansprakelijkheid is komen vast te staan. Voor mij is de fase daarvóór verreweg het interessantst. In medische aansprakelijkheidszaken is het bevredigend om de feiten helder te krijgen en bewijs te vinden. Nauwe samenwerking met dokters is cruciaal, boeiend en leerzaam. Dat ik anarchistisch en recalcitrant ben, komt soms van pas. Ik heb er bewust voor gekozen om uitsluitend slachtoffers bij te staan, maar graag schop ik tegelijkertijd tegen de schenen van de gevestigde orde. Om te onderzoeken of er alternatieve routes zijn om tot een oplossing te komen.
