Robin Struijlaart (1977), a lawyer, is a member of the competition & government practice group. He specializes in EC and (Dutch and European) competition law. He has experience with procedures in competition authorities and the judiciary and advises on the application of European and Dutch competition rules (cartel ban, prohibition of abuse of dominant position and merger control) and other European legal issues. He also regularly coordinates multi-jurisdictional merger notifications with competition authorities in jurisdictions of countries within and outside the European Union. Before joining Loyens & Loeff, he worked at the Brussels branch of a prominent American law firm. Robin is a member of the Association of Competition Law and the International Bar Association. Since 2006, he has been a guest lecturer in merger control in the framework of the LL.M programme International Business Law of the University of Utrecht. He regularly publishes on competition law issues in national and foreign trade journals.
Robin Struijlaart (1977), advocaat, is lid van de praktijkgroep Mededinging & Overheid. Hij is gespecialiseerd in EG- en (Nederlands en Europees) mededingingsrecht. Hij heeft ervaring met procedures bij mededingingsautoriteiten en de rechterlijke macht en met advisering over de toepassing van de Europese en Nederlandse mededingingsregels (kartelverbod, verbod van misbruik van machtspositie en concentratietoezicht) en andersoortige Europeesrechtelijke vraagstukken. Ook verzorgt hij regelmatig de coördinatie van multi-jurisdictionele concentratiemeldingen bij mededingingsautoriteiten in jurisdicties van landen binnen en buiten de Europese Unie. Vóór zijn indiensttreding bij Loyens & Loeff werkte hij bij de Brusselse vestiging van een vooraanstaand Amerikaans advocatenkantoor. Robin is lid van de Vereniging voor Mededingingsrecht en de International Bar Association. Sinds 2006 treedt hij op als gastdocent op het gebied van concentratietoezicht in het kader van de LL.M-opleiding International Business Law van de Rijksuniversiteit Utrecht. Hij publiceert regelmatig over mededingingsrechtelijke onderwerpen in binnen- en buitenlandse vaktijdschriften.
