After a conservatory education and a career in music, Louis Sloot switched to law in 2000. Louis started his career as a lawyer at the office of Pels Rijcken & Droogleever Fortuijn in The Hague. He worked there until January 2009 on labour law in the broad sense, as well as on civil service law. Louis has great expertise in the field of civil dismissal law, both in individual dismissal cases and in the more complex reorganisations. Louis has also earned his spurs in the areas of the right to participate, the right to strike and the right to co-determination. In addition, Louis has now assisted many public-law employers in the field of civil service law. Individual officials can also contact him. Louis always strives for a quick and practical solution to the problems his clients present to him, but will always base his actions on a sound legal analysis. Louis completed his studies in civil law at Erasmus University in Rotterdam in 2000. In 2007 he successfully followed the postgraduate vocational training programme PALA.

Na een conservatoriumopleiding en een carrière in de muziek maakte Louis Sloot in het jaar 2000 de overstap naar de advocatuur. Louis startte in dat jaar zijn carrière als advocaat bij het Haagse kantoor Pels Rijcken & Droogleever Fortuijn. Hij heeft zich daar tot januari 2009 beziggehouden met het arbeidsrecht in brede zin, en tevens met het ambtenarenrecht. Louis heeft een grote expertise op het gebied van het civiele ontslagrecht, zowel in individuele ontslagzaken als in de meer complexe reorganisaties. Ook op het gebied van het medezeggenschapsrecht, stakingsrecht en CAO-recht heeft Louis zijn sporen verdiend. Daarnaast heeft Louis inmiddels vele publiekrechtelijke werkgevers bijgestaan op het gebied van het ambtenarenrecht. Individuele ambtenaren kunnen overigens ook bij hem terecht. Louis streeft altijd naar een snelle en praktische oplossing van de problemen die zijn cliënten aan hem voorleggen, maar zal aan zijn handelen wel steeds een gedegen juridische analyse ten grondslag leggen. Louis heeft in 2000 zijn studie civiel recht aan de Erasmus universiteit te Rotterdam afgerond. In 2007 volgde hij - met succes - de postacademische arbeidsrechtelijke specialisatieopleiding PALA.
