Casey Mark Chisick

For almost 25 years, Casey has acted as deal counsel, litigator, and strategic advisor to a wide range of clients, including music publishers, record labels, collective societies, recording artists, film and TV producers, broadcasters, game developers, book publishers, universities, theatre companies, concert promoters, and brands. He also advises general business clients with IP needs and consults on negotiation strategy for businesses of all kinds.

On the transactional side, Casey regularly advises on the purchase and sale of music, film, television, broadcasting and digital media assets. He also handles the development, financing, production and distribution of television programs, feature films, and theatrical productions. He has negotiated recording, management, publishing, branding, and employment agreements for well-known artists and executives, as well as pioneering overall deals for top television writers and showrunners. Beyond the creative industries, he has conducted IP audits, developed IP policies, and served as chief outside counsel to companies in fields ranging from IT outsourcing to functional genomics. Clients often bring him in on special projects about how to protect and earn revenue from IP in new business models, including those shaped by streaming and generative AI.
