About

Alexandra Cole is a Partner and Corporate Immigration Practice Director with Green & Spiegel LLP in Toronto, and is Certified by the Law Society of Ontario as a Specialist in Citizenship and Immigration Law (Immigration). Her practice focuses primarily on representing corporations and various organizations to facilitate the entry of personnel into Canada. In addition to working with established enterprises, she supports companies seeking to enter the Canadian market, establish operations, and expand their international businesses in Canada. Alexandra helps companies identify and manage the immigration requirements associated with global expansion, including strategies for transferring executives and key personnel and facilitating short-term business travel. She advises eligible businesses on mobility opportunities under the various Free Trade Agreements, including provisions that can facilitate the temporary entry of certain business visitors, investors, intra-corporate transferees, and professionals. Her advice covers work permits, work permit exemptions, business visitor entry, and Labour Market Impact Assessments, with a focus on practical immigration solutions aligned with each company’s Canadian market-entry and workforce plans.

Alexandra also assists clients in preparing visitor and study visas and permits, as well as applications for citizenship and permanent residency including family class sponsorships, provincial nominations and applications under the Express Entry system.

Alexandra has experience representing clients with NEXUS program membership cancellation appeals and appeals involving various enforcement decisions taken by the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA), including the seizure of goods and funds. Alexandra holds significant experience advising on complex personal immigration issues involving admissibility and enforcement matters. Additionally, she advises clients on litigation matters before the Immigration and Refugee Board and the Federal Court of Canada.
