About

Rae Daddon is an intellectual property (IP) and regulatory lawyer who is known for her strategic, business-oriented approach and her ability to provide clients with tailored solutions that address both commercial and compliance objectives.

Rae’s regulatory practice is focused on providing support to clients in highly regulated industries, such as pharmaceuticals, medical devices, natural health products, food and cosmetics, on Canadian regulatory and compliance issues. She advises clients on matters relating to establishment and product licensing, health products advertising and promotion, packaging and labeling requirements, Access to Information Act requests, and compliance with relevant legislation and regulatory standards.

She leverages her industry insight and deep understanding of regulatory and quality frameworks to provide practical guidance on navigating complex compliance matters. In a previous role, as a Regulatory Affairs and Quality Assurance (RA/QA) Consultant, Rae developed extensive experience in strategic planning, implementation and management of various regulatory and quality projects for pharmaceuticals, medical devices and natural health products, including New Drug Submissions, Abbreviated New Drug Submissions, Product Licence Applications and Clinical Trial Applications. In that role, she helped clients navigate issues relating to product and establishment licensing, formulary listings, product development and manufacturing, and pharmacovigilance (including Health Canada adverse drug reaction reporting and recalls).

In addition to her IP and regulatory expertise, Rae advises on various commercial and franchising matters, including the negotiation and drafting of commercial leases, license agreements, distribution agreements and service agreements. She also works with clients to develop internal policies, operational frameworks and standard operating procedures that align with her clients’ business objectives.
