Karine’s work includes meeting with clients to provide them with legal and strategic advice and represent their best interests. She is inquisitive by nature and works hard to get her employee clients the compensation they deserve, and her employer clients the understanding of our laws and how to best navigate their various employment situations. Karine appreciates what her clients are going through, understands that practical solutions are often just as if not more important than legal solutions, and strives to be accessible and responsive in all communication. She is fully committed to her clients and to resolving their legal issues, whatever they may be. Both human rights and disability considerations are also a part of Karine’s employment law practice. She represents both employers and employees, including in both the federal and provincial realms. She is fluently bilingual and represents her clients in both official languages.
Karine is also actively involved with student recruitment, attending various university functions related to same, and leading various student seminars at the firm to help shape our future lawyers.
Karine has been recognized by Thomson Reuters in their Stand Out Lawyer category since 2025.
Outside of work, Karine spends most of her time outdoors and travelling around the world. In winter that means ice-skating and skiing, while in summer she likes playing softball, kayaking and swimming. She especially loves adventure travelling, including hiking the Laugavegur trail in Iceland, the Inca trail in Peru, the Dolomites in Italy, both islands in New Zealand, climbing Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania, hiking the entire Torres del Paine in Patagonia, and scuba-diving in various countries including Belize, Jamaica and Greece.
Karine, I wish to thank for your proficient advocacy of my settlement. I very much appreciate your ability to get to the heart of the matter and frankly being very efficient and responsive in your dealings with me. You readily sought my input before proceeding and you listened to my feedback. You had provided worthy options to consider before recommending a course of action.
