Catherine Michelle Dunne

Catherine Dunne joined Paliare Roland as an associate after working as an articling student at the firm. Catherine has a growing civil litigation practice with a focus on class action litigation, public law, and commercial litigation. She is committed to using her legal practice to help people and advance social justice.

Catherine graduated from McGill University's Faculty of Law on the Dean's Honours List, where she won academic awards, including for having the second-highest standing in her first two years of studies. Throughout her time at McGill, Catherine was active in student life. She volunteered with the Legal Information Clinic, interned with the HIV Legal Network, and mooted at the Davies Corporate and Securities Law Moot, where she won prizes for first place team and second place oralist.

Before law school, Catherine earned an Honours Bachelor of Arts from Western University as the UWO Gold Medalist. She also served as the President of the Ontario Undergraduate Student Alliance, where she advocated to all levels of government for financial aid for post-secondary students and for trauma-informed guidelines for post-secondary institutions’ gender-based violence policies.
