Daniel regularly appears before the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, including the Civil and Commercial List, as well as the Divisional Court and Court of Appeal. He has also assisted on matters before the Supreme Court of Canada. As trial counsel, he is frequently retained by other firms to assist with or take carriage of complex litigation.

His commercial litigation practice includes shareholder and oppression disputes, injunctions, creditor recovery, contractual disputes, fiduciary obligations, fraud recovery, professional negligence, defamation, real estate disputes and insolvency proceedings.

Daniel acts for a broad range of clients, including lenders, insurers, professionals, public companies, directors and officers, contractors, franchisors and franchisees, landlords and tenants, transportation companies, politicians, Crown corporations, colleges, municipalities and not-for-profit organizations.

Daniel’s experience in business and finance, including his studies at the Ted Rogers School of Management and prior work in the financial sector, gives him a practical understanding of the commercial realities facing his clients.
