Adam is recognized by Chambers for his work in the life sciences sector and focuses his practice exclusively on advising life sciences, health care, and health technology companies. He represents companies and investors across the life cycle — from formation and venture financings to strategic partnerships, licensing, and M&A — and works closely with innovative, science-driven businesses to help them navigate complex commercialization and growth challenges.
Adam advises on transactions at the intersection of corporate, intellectual property, and commercialization strategy. He regularly represents pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device, and health technology companies in licensing and collaboration agreements, venture and growth financings, and other strategic transactions. His practice is inherently cross-border, and he frequently advises Canadian, US, and international clients on structuring and executing transactions connecting the Canadian and US life sciences markets, including cross-border financings and IP-driven partnering arrangements with global pharmaceutical companies.
Before becoming a lawyer, Adam trained as a pharmacist at the University of Toronto’s Leslie Dan Faculty of Pharmacy. This scientific and clinical foundation enables him to engage deeply with founders, executives, and investors on the practical realities of developing, financing, and commercializing innovative life sciences technologies. Adam also serves as head of the Life Sciences Sector for the Licensing Executives Society (LES) USA & Canada.
