Zainab Fayyaz

Zainab maintains a broad commercial real estate practice with a focus on acquisitions and dispositions, joint ventures, leasing, secured financings (including bilateral and syndicated loan structures) and project development. Her practice also involves advising on real estate aspects of complex commercial transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, bond financings and receivership sales. Zainab represents a diverse range of clients, including institutional investors, private equity funds, asset managers and developers. She strives to provide clients with timely, practical advice throughout every stage of a transaction. Prior to joining Blakes, Zainab practiced for over five years at an international law firm in Toronto, where she gained extensive experience representing financial institutions, private lenders and a wide range of borrowers on numerous large-scale secured financings.

Zainab is an active member of the Canadian Bar Association, Toronto Commercial Real Estate Women (CREW) and the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties (NAIOP).
