Robert Joseph Bruce Frazer

Robert is a member of the award-winning Corporate & Commercial group at Blakes, recognized as a Band 1 practice for Corporate/M&A and Corporate/Commercial: The Elite in the 2026 edition of Chambers Canada , Law Firm of the Year in Mergers & Acquisitions Law by Best Lawyers 2026 , and a top M&A and Corporate & Commercial practice in The Globe and Mail 's 2025 edition of "Canada's Best Law Firms."

Robert's focuses on domestic and cross-border mergers and acquisitions, representing both strategic and private equity clients (domestic and international) across a range of industries. He has acted for award-winning emerging and growth-stage companies, advises clients on bespoke corporate governance matters, complex corporate restructurings and sophisticated commercial transactions.

Robert advises clients on day-to-day corporate and commercial matters and regularly collaborates with Blakes specialists across a range of practice areas to deliver tailored advice to clients operating in diverse industries. He also routinely provides pro bono legal advice to community and non-profit organizations.

Robert joined Blakes as a summer student in 2015 and completed his articles with the Firm in 2016/2017. During his articles, he was seconded to an international bank, where he worked on a variety of corporate governance and regulatory matters.
