Alexandra Marie Heine

Alexandra’s practice focuses on criminal, commercial, and public law litigation. In her criminal practice, Alexandra represents youths and adults who have been charged with criminal and quasi-criminal offences. In her commercial and public law practice, Alexandra is involved in matters dealing with professional discipline, director/officer liability, shareholder disputes, and contractual disputes. Alexandra has also conducted, directed and defended investigations in various contexts.

Alexandra represents clients in both French and English. She has appeared before the Ontario Court of Justice, Ontario Superior Court of Justice, Court of Appeal for Ontario, and the Supreme Court of Canada.

Alexandra joined Stockwoods as an associate in 2021. Prior to joining Stockwoods, she served as a law clerk to Justice Moldaver at the Supreme Court of Canada. She completed her articles as a law clerk to the judges of the Alberta Court of King’s Bench and as a student-at-law at a national full-service firm in Calgary.

In 2022, Alexandra served as Commission Counsel on the Public Order Emergency Commission.

Alexandra holds a J.D. from the University of Calgary Faculty of Law, where she received a number of awards for her academic achievements. Prior to attending law school, Alexandra obtained her B.A. (Hons.) from Queen’s University.
