About

Antonia Hristova is an Associate Lawyer at Avanessy Giordano LLP and has been with the firm since 2020. Her practice is devoted to all areas of personal injury litigation, including motor vehicle accidents, occupier’s liability, medical malpractice, product liability, CPP and STD/LTD disability benefits and accident benefit claims.

Antonia adopts a compassionate “client first” approach to her practice as she feels extremely privileged to be able to assist clients throughout their rehabilitation and zealously advocate for a fair compensation. Antonia’s approach is guided by her strong conviction that providing exceptional legal representation is integral to each client’s road to recovery.

Her recent notable work includes a favorable decision on a Summary Judgment motion where she worked alongside Michael Giordano as they secured a win against a non-for-profit Occupier’s Act owner who denied liability for a fall on their property due to ice and snow. The Ontario Superior Court of Justice decision in Chambers v Remnant Tabernacle has been selected to be included in Thomson Reuters’ Carswell’s Practice cases as well as its Litigator service for its recognition as a prominent decision.

Antonia is an active member of the Ontario Trial Lawyers Association (OTLA), The Toronto Lawyers Association (TLA), and The Ontario Bar Association. She has been devoted to advocacy and policy work at OTLA and has been a part of the New Lawyers Division leadership since May 2022 – she currently serves as the Chair of the New Lawyers Division and prior to that, served as the Vice-Chair.

Antonia is a graduate of the University of Windsor, Faculty of Law. Prior to law school, she received her Honours Bachelor of Arts degree in Law & Society and Human Rights and Equity Studies from York University, where she graduated with distinction.
