Meghan Hull Jacquin is a partner at Howie, Sacks & Henry LLP and a highly respected personal injury and medical negligence lawyer. Her practice is devoted to representing seriously injured people and their families, with particular experience in complex cases involving life altering injuries with complicated medical and liability issues.
Before dedicating her practice to representing injured people, Meghan represented insurance companies and defendants. She saw firsthand how insurers evaluate claims and how defence counsel approach litigation. Then she changed sides. Today, Meghan draws on that experience exclusively on behalf of plaintiffs. In every case, she begins by listening – really listening – to understand what her clients have lost and how their injuries have changed their lives.
Over the past two decades, she has developed the skills and experience to build the right treatment team, obtain the medical and expert evidence needed to secure the resources her clients require now and in the future, and tell each client’s story in a way that is both compelling and legally rigorous.
Meghan has been recognized by The Canadian Legal Lexpert Directory as a leading practitioner in Plaintiff Personal Injury since 2020 and has been recognized by Best Lawyers in Canada in both Personal Injury Litigation and Medical Malpractice since 2022.
Meghan’s practice encompasses all types of personal injury litigation, including serious and catastrophic injury claims, medical negligence, motor vehicle claims, disability claims, nursing home negligence, and institutional abuse claims. She has experience in mass tort and class action lawsuits, representing clients across Canada who were affected by the Essure permanent birth control device as well as abuse survivors in the proposed Gymnastics Canada class action.
