Laura Ashley Hunt

Laura joined VB Vallance Blais in 2022 after many years of working for an established full service firm in Ottawa. A graduate of the University of Ottawa, Laura has practiced almost exclusively in the area of family law since her call to the Bar in 2014. Through her years of practice, Laura has gained a wide breadth of experience and knowledge in all areas of family law, including parenting disputes, income and support issues, and complex property claims.

While maintaining a busy litigation practice, Laura also assists clients through negotiation, mediation and other forms of dispute resolution processes. She regularly appears at the Superior Court of Justice at all stages of family law proceedings.

Organized, hard-working and compassionate, Laura prides herself on providing excellent client services and thoughtful and efficient advice. She is keenly aware of the stress and costs faced by family law participants and strives to bring resolution for her clients in a measured, cost-effective and thoughtful manner.
