William Ian Innes

William I. (Bill) Innes has practised in the area of tax litigation for 40 years. His reported decisions cover clients ranging from multi-national corporations to individual taxpayers. He deals with income taxes, HST/GST and provincial taxes.

In addition to acting as leading counsel in tax cases Bill acts as an advisor to small- and medium-sized law firms and accounting firms. He provides advice, opinions and litigation support for legal and accounting professionals that are looking for a second opinion on litigation matters or matters that may lead to litigation. Few firms have full time tax litigation counsel – Bill provides that support for firms practising in the tax area but without great experience in tax litigation.
