Petar Jovanovic

Petar Jovanovic is an Associate Lawyer at Achkar Law who advises and represents employers across a broad range of workplace and employment matters. He helps organizations manage and resolve issues involving terminations, dismissals, and layoffs, severance and executive severance packages, employment and independent contractor agreements, workplace investigations, human rights and harassment complaints, and grievances and arbitration.

Petar was drawn to employment law because it combines legal advocacy, strategic problem-solving, and practical results, and he enjoys working through complex workplace issues to find solutions tailored to each employer’s circumstances.

Born in Serbia and raised in Canada, Petar brings a broad perspective to his practice and places real value on building strong relationships with the businesses he works alongside.

Outside the office, Petar enjoys travelling, gaming, exploring new cities, attending events, and spending time with friends and family.
