Kristen Erin Kilroy

Kristen is an associate in Gowling WLG’s Trademarks Group. Her practice encompasses the full trademark lifecycle, from clearance and prosecution to portfolio management, licensing, transactional support, and enforcement. Kristen supports clients in developing and executing strategies for acquiring, maintaining, and enforcing trademark rights in Canada and around the world.

Kristen’s expertise includes managing domestic and international trademark portfolios, including large-scale global portfolios spanning dozens of jurisdictions. She represents clients in contentious trademark matters, including trademark opposition and summary cancellation proceedings before the Trademark Opposition Board. She also works closely with members of Gowling WLG’s Corporate Group advising on intellectual property and trademark aspects of commercial transactions.

Kristen’s client base spans a broad range of industries, including automotive, consumer products, cosmetics, food and beverage, software and technology, retail, sports, hospitality, mining, and entertainment.

In 2026, she was recognized by Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch in Canada for her work in Intellectual Property. Her committee work through the International Trademark Association led to her recognition as an “INTA Rising Star” and “High-Performing Committee Member” in 2025.
