Éliane Lachaine is a bilingual injury lawyer who helps clients navigate a wide range of claims—from serious head injuries to wrongful death cases. She studied Social Sciences and Law at the University of Ottawa, then articled at a local firm in 2004–2005. She stayed on as an associate until 2013, focusing mainly on personal injury law.
Since 2014, Éliane runs her own boutique injury firm alongside her partners, Colleen Burn and Laurie Tucker.
Éliane is a strong advocate for ongoing professional development. She is a long-time member of the Ontario Trial Lawyers Association (OTLA), where she’s contributed articles to The Litigator and spoken at conferences and webinars. Éliane also helped launch the advocacy workshops organized by the Association des juristes d’expression française de l’Ontario and has been part of the planning committee for the CCLA’s Annual Civil Litigation Conference since 2020.
Outside of work, Éliane has volunteered with CALACS, a support centre for survivors of sexual assault, and the Centre Espoir Sophie, Ottawa’s only francophone drop-in centre for marginalized women. When she is not advocating for her clients, you will likely find her rock climbing, ice climbing, or trail running with her husband. She has completed several marathons and triathlons.
