Early in her career, she transferred to the Durham Crown’s Attorney’s office where she worked until 2023. She spent her career prosecuting all manner of offences in both the Ontario and Superior Courts of Justice. She made the switch to Criminal Defense practice as she is passionate about Social Justice and the accessibility of representation in the Criminal Justice System. Her many years of experience practicing Criminal Law and her ability to discover the prosecutorial gaps in a case are invaluable assets in defending her clients. In her spare time, she is an avid practitioner of Martial Arts. She is a Master 4th degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do, a second degree black belt in kickboxing and is a 4 time world champion in breaking.
In June of 2007, after completing her legal education at Osgoode Hall Law SchooI , Alexandrea was called to the Ontario Bar. She has been practising in all areas of Family Law since that time. She began her legal career as an articling student and junior associate at well-established boutique and full-service Family Law firms located in the Greater Toronto Region or Downtown Core - mainly dealing with high net-worth separations. After several years, she decided to relocate to Durham Region, spending the largest portion of her career as a sole practitioner. This enabled her the time to pursue additional interests in the area of law, such as pro bono work, impacts of domestic violence, and access to justice.
