Michael Jonathan Baum

Michael’s broad commercial real estate practice encompasses all aspects of land development including land acquisitions and dispositions, corporate structuring, condominium law, and financings. In recent years Michael has had extensive experience in acting on behalf of some of Canada’s leading lenders and lending syndicates with a particular emphasis on loan facilities secured by real property, which include primary, secondary, mezzanine and construction financings.

Michael has co-authored papers published by the Ontario Bar Association and the Law Society of Ontario for use in Continuing Legal Education seminars on various topics including condominium development, issues surrounding electronic registration and real estate law generally; past columnist and featured contributor in the Toronto Star’s weekly “Ask the Expert” series.
