Maria Naimark

Maria has experience advising clients across a range of civil disputes, with a particular focus on commercial matters. She prides herself on creative and effective solutions to all facets of a client's issues.

Maria Naimark is an established civil litigator. Prior to joining Tyr, Maria practiced as a corporate litigator at Sullivan & Cromwell LLP in New York.

In addition to the corporate commercial focus of her practice, Maria's diverse experience includes a legal internship at the United Nations , the representation of incarcerated people at disciplinary and appellate hearings while in law school, and participation in the editing of Law of Asylum in the United States . Throughout her career, she has also maintained an active pro bono practice, with a focus on LGBTQ+ asylum claims, gender-based violence, and community housing.

Maria clerked for the Ontario Court of Appeal from 2018-2019. She graduated from Harvard Law School cum laude in 2017. She speaks fluent Russian and Spanish, and is conversant in French and Hebrew.
