Pooja Bharat Patel

Pooja Patel joined Paliare Roland as an associate after summering and articling at the firm. She is building a civil litigation practice with a focus on administrative law, employment law, and general civil litigation.

As a law student at Western University’s Faculty of Law, Pooja was involved in student life as a caseworker at Community Legal Services, as a volunteer for Pro Bono Students Canada, and as co-chair of the charity talent-show, Obiter Dicta. For her efforts to improve student life, she was awarded the Student Legal Society’s Leadership Award in her third year. Pooja also has a keen interest in oral advocacy: she won the BLG Client Consultation Competition, was a member of the “Best Team” at the Lerners Cup, reached the semi-finals at the National Client Consultation Competition, and participated in the Wilson Moot.

Prior to law school, Pooja earned an Honours Bachelor of Arts (Political Science) from McGill University.
