Svitlana assists clients with trademark clearance, filing and prosecution, providing brand availability opinions, preparing responses to examiner reports and advising on registrability and infringement risks. Her work involves developing IP strategies that align with each client’s business goals, striking a thoughtful balance between legal analysis, commercial insight and creative problem-solving.

Svitlana began her legal career in Ukraine as a trademark agent at an international IP-focused firm, where she managed trademark portfolios for a variety of companies and counselled clients on trademark protection. Her practice also included advising on enforcement strategies, drafting legal documents and negotiating on behalf of clients. Svitlana’s international experience allows her to bring practical insight and experience to Madrid Protocol filings in Canada, and support clients with their global brand protection needs.
