With Dan Bereskin, Mark acted as counsel for the International Trademark Association (INTA) as intervener in the Supreme Court of Canada in Masterpiece Inc. v. Alavida Lifestyles Inc., 2011 SCC 27 and Mark continues to serve on INTA committees.

He is Chair of the International Trademark Laws Committee of the American Bar Association Section of Intellectual Property Law for the 2026-2027 term. Mark has been actively involved with the Intellectual Property Institute of Canada (IPIC) having assisted in organizing, moderating, and presenting numerous IPIC educational seminars and meetings.
