Adrian Lucian Rosu

Adrian L. Rosu is a partner at Duncan, Linton LLP , where he began his legal career as a summer law student in 2017.

Having grown up involved in his family’s homebuilding business, Adrian spent many summers working on construction sites before becoming a licensed real estate agent, eventually selling homes in the very communities his family helped build throughout Waterloo Region and the surrounding area. Today, he brings this firsthand industry experience to his legal practice, with a particular passion for matters involving real estate law , municipal and planning law , and construction law .

Adrian is proud to contribute to the law firm’s longstanding tradition of assisting municipalities through a range of municipal law matters. He also advises developers and other private clients on residential and commercial real estate transactions, from negotiation through to closing. Adrian has a keen interest in resolving historical title defects, particularly those that require careful research and, on occasion, court attendance.

Born and raised in Kitchener, Adrian completed his undergraduate studies at Wilfrid Laurier University in 2014, earning an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy with a Legal Studies option and graduating with distinction. He went on to complete a Master of Arts in Philosophy at Laurier in 2015, focusing his research on control-based moral responsibility.

After obtaining two philosophy degrees, Adrian decided to pursue a career where he could actually get paid to argue. He attended Osgoode Hall Law School at York University in Toronto, earning his Juris Doctor in 2019. While at Osgoode, he served as a Senior Caseworker at the Osgoode Business Clinic and as President of the Real Estate Law Association. Adrian subsequently articled at Duncan, Linton LLP and was called to the Ontario Bar in 2020. In 2026, he reached another milestone in his career when he joined the firm’s partnership.
