Jennifer Shilson’s practice area centers on corporate and commercial transactions. When advising her clients, she comes to the table with creative and timely solutions and options to the obstacles that can arise and hinder the progress of a transaction.

Jennifer represented long-term firm clients in the sale of a very successful family business to a large international firms. This multi-faceted transaction involved a significant pre-sale reorganization followed by the sale of assets in various jurisdictions including Canada, the United States, Barbados and the United Kingdom.

One of the clients’ top priorities was to complete this transaction within an extremely tight timeframe, so a full team was assembled to work toward this goal. Jennifer negotiated complex, multi-party, multi-jurisdiction purchase documents while working with the team in various jurisdictions as well as with the purchaser’s legal team. As a result, the transaction was completed in about three weeks.
