Ian Sonshine

Ian Sonshine is a senior immigration and refugee lawyer with Lewis & Associates LLP , with a diverse background representing clients in all aspects of the immigration process.

Ian’s current practice focuses on immigration litigation, the intersection of criminal and immigration law , and inadmissibility and enforcement matters. He regularly represents clients before all levels of the Immigration and Refugee Board and appears frequently before the Federal Court of Canada , including on urgent Stay Motions.

Ian holds a Juris Doctor from the University of Wyoming and a Master’s in Public Policy from the University of Toronto. He speaks French and English.
