Jessica Stinson joined Evans Law Firm as an Associate after articling at a premier litigation boutique in Toronto. Jessica has a passion for employment law and for ensuring her clients feel supported, heard, and empowered through her advocacy. She provides advice and representation on various employment matters, including wrongful and constructive dismissals, restrictive covenants, human rights issues, workplace harassment, and unreasonable workplace investigations. Jessica exclusively represents employees and executives. Being raised in an entrepreneurial and management-oriented family, Jessica has an intimate understanding of an employer’s perspective and concerns, which assists her greatly in providing thoughtful and strategic advice to her clients.

Jessica graduated in the top 7% of her class at Osgoode Hall Law School and won numerous awards for her performance in the program and her extra-curriculars, including the Greg Monforton Award for the Best Examination-in-Chief at the Ontario Trial Lawyer’s Association Cup Moot, the Goodman’s LLP Award for academic excellence and her involvement in extra-curricular programs, committees, and organizations at Osgoode, the Blaney McMurtry LLP Prize for the highest overall standing in the Canadian Peoples and Indigenous Law course, the McMillan LLP Award for academic excellence, and the Samuel Rubinoff Prize for Legal Research and Writing.

Prior to attending law school, Jessica was a Paralegal licensed by the Law Society of Ontario. She graduated from the Durham College Paralegal Diploma Program, where she received the Governor General’s Academic Medal and the W. Bruce Affleck Memorial Scholarship for being the highest-ranking graduate of any two- or three-year full-time diploma program. Jessica worked at prominent Labour and Employment law firms in Toronto as a Paralegal and a Legal Assistant before attending law school.
