Natalia Nesbitt Thawe

Natalia N. Thawe Founder and Principal Lawyer Natalia is a highly skilled intellectual property (IP) lawyer and registered Canadian and US patent agent. Before establishing Thawe Intellectual Property Law, Natalia practiced as an IP litigator for several years at a leading international full-service law firm. Natalia has represented clients ranging from large multinational corporations to small and medium-sized businesses across industries, including pharmaceuticals, computer software, aerospace, manufacturing, and consumer products. She has appeared before the Federal Court of Canada, Federal Court of Appeal, and the Patent Appeal Board. Natalia has assisted clients with patent, trademark, copyright, trade secret, IP licensing, and pharmaceutical regulatory matters. She has assisted clients with drafting and prosecuting patent applications for a broad range of technologies, including pharmaceuticals, chemicals, materials, protein-related technologies, medical devices, sports equipment, and various consumer products. Prior to law, Natalia obtained her Master of Science degree in Molecular Genetics and her Honours Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry from the University of Toronto. Following her studies, she worked in clinical research for an internationally recognized hospital in Toronto.
