Rodolphe Alfred Vanier

Rod is the founder of Vanier & Associates. He has been practicing law in Nepean/Ottawa-West for 43 years. He obtained his undergraduate degree in Political Science from Carleton University (1976) and subsequently his LL.B. from the University of Ottawa in 1979. Rod was called to the Bar in the province of Ontario in 1981. He currently is a member of the Law Society of Ontario, the County of Carleton Law Association, the Barrhaven Rotary Club (Past President) and the Royal Canadian Legion, Barrhaven Branch 641. Rod has always been an active member in his community. In 2007, his contributions to his community were recognized when he received the City of Ottawa Community Activist of the Year Award. He is also Past-Chair of the Nepean Chamber of Commerce, the Queensway Carleton Hospital and the Olde Forge Community Resource Centre. Most recently, he was President of the Merivale Gardens Community Association and Director on the Barrhaven Food Cupboard. Currently he is a Director of the Ottawa Rotary Home. Rod practices in the areas of corporate law, real estate (including sales, purchases and mortgages), family law, and wills and estates. Rod likes to get away from it all at his chalet in the Laurentians.
