Anisha Ravi Vohora

Anisha Vohora began her journey with Sondhi Defence at the end of 2023, driven by a clear mission: to make a meaningful contribution to the legal community while advancing her legal education and practical advocacy skills.

Her passion for justice is rooted in both her academic pursuits and her real-world experience working with individuals navigating some of the most complex legal challenges.

Born and raised in New Zealand, Anisha brings a global perspective to her legal practice. She completed her Undergraduate Degree in Political Science and Equity Studies at the University of Toronto, where she developed a strong interest in how legal systems shape and are shaped by society.

Eager to expand her legal knowledge, Anisha went on to earn her LL.B. (Honours) from the University of Kent in England. While in law school, she immersed herself in both academic and extracurricular initiatives, serving as an active member of the Canadian Law Society, Equity Society, and the Law Clinic. She excelled in Mock Trial competitions, where her skill, confidence, and persuasive advocacy earned her the title of “Best Advocate.” Her academic work reflected a deep interest in how the law is used to both empower and, at times, marginalize groups—an interest that continues to guide her legal career today.

Before joining Sondhi Defence, Anisha built a strong foundation in the legal field through a variety of experiences. She worked closely with several prominent criminal lawyers in Toronto, gaining insight into trial strategy, legal research, and client advocacy. She also served as an Executive Assistant to an MPP at Queen’s Park, furthering her understanding of how law and policy intersect. Additionally, she worked with Deloitte in the field of immigration law, adding yet another dimension to her legal experience.
