Yazhi Zheng

Yazhi Zheng is the founder of Yazhi Law, a Toronto-based boutique law firm focused on international trade, investment and cross-border business matters. She advises Canadian and international businesses, entrepreneurs and investors on trade compliance, corporate and commercial matters, and business immigration, with a particular focus on Canada–China business. Her experience includes work at leading law firms in Canada and China, including international trade matters in Canada and foreign investment and corporate governance projects for European businesses in China. Yazhi is licensed to practise law in Ontario, Canada and China. Yazhi is also a Canadian Certified Customs Specialist.

Alongside her legal practice, Yazhi is active in legal technology, professional education and community service. She is a co-founder of LexGPS , an AI-powered legal technology platform focused on access to justice, and has contributed to computational legal research at the University of Ottawa. She serves as the CPD Liaison for the Ontario Bar Association’s International Law Section and as a board member of the Chinese Canadian Scholarship Foundation .
