David Brooker's practice focuses on civil litigation; will and estate disputes; mortgage enforcement and defence, and other disputes relating to real estate; insolvency and bankruptcy; and mediation services in the areas of his practice.
David is a skilled negotiator and advocate who can resolve complex disputes through practical, interests-based solutions. Drawing on extensive experience before all levels of court in Ontario and the Supreme Court of Canada, as well as private arbitrations and administrative tribunals, he understands both the risks of litigation and the value of a negotiated resolution, and whether circumstances demand a full-on aggressive approach or one that is more conciliatory as being in his client’s interests. David's hands-on work with trustees, receivers, businesses, shareholders, as well as individuals involved in estate disputes gives him insight into a wide range of legal and commercial conflicts.
"David not only represented his client well, but went out of his way to assist me in my duties as an Estate Trustee during litigation. I appreciated his initiative and professionalism." Hon. Doug Lewis, Former Attorney General of Canada and Minister of Justice
"I was referred to David Brooker for an arbitration settlement. David was successful, not only with arbitration but additional compensation that I did not expect. Thank you Steinberg Law and thank you David!" Shawn Callahan
